Located directly on the Bundestr and the Walchensee, the view of the Walchensee and the mountains, especially from the inside from the small balcony, is breathtaking, like a painting. The owners are always friendly, the coffee good and the cakes delicious.

Totally nice café. Old and Bavarian, we liked it very much. The staff is friendly and totally responded to our extra requests. We recommend this little café for those who like to eat delicious homemade cakes. We even bought shampoo here because they still have a small mini supermarket. Always my pleasure !!

Best view of Walchensee

A welcome stop after a long descent from the Herzogstand! Nice staff, simple but quaint and good! Great view of the Walchensee !!!!

This was a place where you can enjoy the view of the lake and the mountains and drink pretty good coffee. A few parking places are available as well. The pizza we ordered was also pretty good. Ps- this is a self service based cafe.

Café right on the street with a great view over the lake. Unfortunately, the hygiene concept is not taken very seriously here. No address was recorded. The Swiss sausage salad was a couple of slices of sausage, a couple of slices of cheese and dried chives (a lot).

So the location is perfect but more of a kiosk than a cafe. But the cake was delicious. Okay, mega-friendly are not okay on the whole.

Slightly older cafe / bistro / beer garden. Pleasant prices. Loud, because right on the street. Prices are ok.

If you like to eat a frozen pizza for € 6.50, drink from dirty glasses and mess around with unfriendly service, you've come to the right place. Conclusion: every subway kiosk would be better!

There was cold beer here - and a wonderful view of the mountains and the lake. very good

Unfortunately our experience in this Café was More than disappointing! The cheese platter was made out of the cheapest cheese from a discount supermarket and the „Leberkäse“ dish was simply old meat with poor quality. They serve non bavarian beer (Warsteiner) and this contributes to the overall bad customer experience as well. We feedbacked our disappointment friendly to the owner but he did not react any customer friendly and seemed rather aggressive. Sadly this location with an amazing view is not to recommend.

The café on the lake has a “grocery store near & good” in front where the beer costs € 3.00, which is what restaurant prices are. Besides, eating well is really not here. I wanted to order a pizza salami / ham and I was told that this is not possible because the kitchen woman did not fill the pizza twice, either salami or ham pizza, otherwise this is also possible everywhere. So it must be frozen pizza. Offering a frozen pizza salami for 6.50 is also a cheek ... Not to be recommended whether as a café or near & good food market!

The café lives from the location and the wonderful view of the lake. For this alone it is worthwhile to stop for a wheat beer or coffee and cake. You have to look generously at the self-service, unprofessional employees, low quality of the food, uninviting pub and the toilets in need of maintenance ...

dont go there for food deep frozen pizza for 7€ and canned soup for 5€ cakes look better though

Nice point of view of the lake

Great cakes in peak season, boat hire and peddloes, note as a diver urfeld is a simple dive but hire a boat and head to the bouy about 1km from shore for the best dive in Bayern (urfelder Berg).

Excelent for a quick desert and coffee for a thirsty traveler. The view is spectacular.

Quiet a refreshing view of Walchensee and the Alps from the deck. Cakes are delicious. Worth stopping when you are coming from Kochel on the "deutsche Alpenstrasse" after the winding roads. Worth a visit - coffee, cakes, by the lake - Simply bliss! (oh they had pizzas and some German fast food, which we didn't check).

Nice view but very noisy

Stunning views from their terrace. It's an excellent rest stop after the climb from Kochel. Also, try the cheese cake!
